Michigan State University College of Engineering seeks an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment for diagnostic imaging. The role requires ARRT certification and involves physical effort in patient handling. Ideal candidates will have experience in radiology and patient care.
Working/Functional Title: MRI Technologist
Position Summary: The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical, vocational, or business school in an approved Radiologic Technologist program; one to three years of related work experience in radiology equipment use, exposure techniques, positioning, and patient care; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and additional certifications in specialization areas as required by law or industry standards. ARRT (MR) and current BLS certification are required.
2 years MRI experience preferred.

Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
The job involves significant physical effort, including lifting and positioning patients or viewing screens over 75% of the time. Exposure to human blood, serum, body fluids, and materials under Universal Precautions; TB risk; work within three feet of patients; and wearing a respirator are required.
