Job summary

South Texas Health System seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Magnetic Resonance Imaging to produce high-quality MR images and perform daily quality checks in our Edinburg, TX facility. You will screen patients for contraindications and IV contrast suitability, coordinate with radiologists and nursing staff, and ensure exams are performed accurately.

Qualifications

• 2 years MR imaging and/or Radiographer experience preferred.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification preferred.
• Must comply with Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; report concerns to Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality MR images and perform daily quality control checks.
• Select proper coils for procedures and report MR unit issues to supervisor.
• Screen patients for contraindications to MRI and IV contrast.
• Coordinate with radiologists and hospital staff on patient care and exam accuracy.
• Maintain performance skills and work weekends/holidays/on-call as needed.

Education

ARRT MRI certification or ARMRIT certification

Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology or Magnetic Resonance Program
