Role: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist responsible for coordinating and completing daily procedures, including prioritizing operations, conducting exams, and completing all necessary paperwork. Duties include following physician orders, ensuring quality imaging, patient care, radiation safety, QC/QA tasks, maintaining competencies, equipment QC, and other assigned duties.

Experience: Minimum of one year performing diagnostic procedures in a hospital or outpatient setting with proven scanning skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in the use and maintenance of MRI equipment.
  • Conduct MRI examinations, including contrast-enhanced procedures.
  • Manage patient care during complex MRI procedures with competence and empathy.
  • Follow instructions effectively, maintaining clear communication with patients and colleagues.
  • Perform scanning, labeling, and address QA issues promptly.
  • Adhere to radiation protection and dose reporting policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain departmental productivity.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including IV placements and contrast administration.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform MRI examinations for patients of all ages.
  • Competency in PACS processes and daily QA procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and commitment to patient care.
  • Proficiency with MRI technical equipment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety guidelines per federal and state regulations.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations, health screenings, drug tests, and background checks.
  • ARRT(MR), MRT state license, and BLS certification required.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability in the state of employment.
