Role Overview: The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist is responsible for coordinating and completing daily procedures, including prioritizing operations, conducting exams, and managing paperwork. Responsibilities include following physician orders, ensuring quality imaging, patient care, safety, quality control tasks, maintaining competencies, equipment QC, and other duties as assigned.

Experience: Minimum of one year performing diagnostic procedures in a hospital or outpatient setting with proven scanning skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Proficient in the use and maintenance of MRI equipment.
  2. Conduct MRI examinations, including contrast procedures.
  3. Manage patient care during complex MRI procedures with competence and empathy.
  4. Follow instructions and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  5. Perform scanning, labeling, and address QA issues promptly.
  6. Adhere to radiation protection and reporting policies.
  7. Collaborate with team members to maintain departmental productivity.
  8. Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including IV placement and contrast administration.

Requirements:

  • Ability to conduct examinations for patients of all ages.
  • Competency in PACS processes and QA procedures.
  • Effective communication and commitment to patient care.
  • Proficiency with MRI technical equipment.
  • Adherence to radiation safety guidelines.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations, health screenings, drug tests, and background checks.
  • ARRT(MR), MRT state licensure, and BLS certification required.
  • Valid Driver's License and insurability in the state of employment.
