Job summary

Townsen Memorial Imaging - Humble is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our team. The MRI Technologist performs imaging studies, prepares patients, positions, selects protocols, and ensures high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.

This role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to HIPAA and facility policies, and collaboration with the MRI department. Experience with MRI safety and ARRT MR certification preferred; BLS required; background check and drug screen required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as MRT.
• Registered MR technologist with ARRT-MR or ARRT-R.
• Minimum 1 year MRI technologist experience in healthcare.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal image quality.
• Ensure safety and screen for metal in patients before imaging.
• Explain the MRI procedure and address patient concerns.
• Maintain infection control and cleanliness of MRI area.
• Transfer images to EMR and distribute films to staff.
