Job summary

Atrium Health Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures, operate scanners, and ensure high-quality images per departmental standards. This PRN/part-time role supports a patient-centered imaging team in a modern campus setting.

The position requires ARRT radiologic or nuclear medicine training, CPR certification, and registry eligibility for MRI; on-site work with safety-focused responsibilities and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.
• MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program; registry within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners per departmental protocols and ensure image quality.
• Verify orders and obtain radiologist approval when needed.
• Prepare patients and document medical history for exams.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and document usage.
• Maintain safety and infection control standards.
