Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is the largest orthopaedic surgery group in Tennessee. TOA concentrates on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system which allow our patients to live their best life.

Qualifications

  • Completion of A.S., B.S. or certificate in Radiologic technology.
  • Registered in MRI or MRI registration within one year of completing training.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of MRI principles and pulse sequences.
  • Ability to properly position patients and program imaging for MRI exams.
  • Ability to recognize pathology and adjust scanning parameters.
  • Interacting and communicating with nurses, physicians and radiologists.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety practices.
  • Understanding basic quality control and QA procedures.
  • Basic networking and PACs knowledge.
  • Excellent patient services skills including working with claustrophobic patients.
  • Dependable and able to adjust schedules to workload/staffing demands.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture and contrast administration.

Responsibilities

  • Position patients and program imaging to ensure high quality MRI examinations.
  • Recognize pathology and adjust scanning parameters accordingly.
  • Interact with nurses, physicians and radiologists to coordinate care.
  • Perform venipuncture and administer contrast as needed.

  • Must be willing to float; Nashville, Hendersonville, Clarksville, Murfreesboro, Smyrna
