Job summary

Washington Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist (PRN/As Needed) to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures and support the office operations. The role requires patient instruction, safety checks for contraindications, contrast administration, and post-procedure assistance.

Minimum requirements include graduation from a imaging tech program, MR registration within 1 year, ARRT certification, CPR within 90 days, and state licensure for VA/MD offices.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and imaging tech training.
• MR registration within 1 year of employment.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• CPR certification within 90 days of employment and annual renewal.
• License required for Maryland or Virginia offices.
• Ability to lift and move patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures as prescribed by a physician and instruct patients on the procedure.
• Ascertain contraindications to entering a magnetic field and ensure patient safety.
• Prepare, position, administer contrast, and assist post-exam.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with OSHA and HIPAA.
• Promote teamwork and confidentiality within the office.
