HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist PRN to provide high-quality magnetic resonance imaging services to patients under radiologist supervision. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, precise imaging, and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate will be Florida-licensed, ARRT MR certified, and experienced with MRI equipment, patient positioning, contrast administration, and MEDITECH documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certified and licensed to practice in Florida.
• ARRT (MR) certification required and MR credentialed.
• Active Florida DOH licensure (CRT).
• Knowledge of MRI equipment, safety, and patient positioning specific to MRI.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Obtain high-quality MR images and ensure optimal films for interpretation.
• Select technical factors and contrast material appropriately.
• Position and transfer patients while maintaining modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information and complete MEDITECH fields accurately.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and stock supplies; prevent cross-contamination.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and care team.
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed.
