Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is seeking a dedicated MRI technologist to support imaging across multiple Nashville-area locations. The role requires float among clinics, ensuring high-quality MRI exams and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include proper patient positioning, parameter adjustment, and coordination with radiologists. Candidates should hold an accredited Radiologic Tech credential with MRI registration within a year and strong anatomy knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Completion of A.S., B.S. or certificate in Radiologic technology.
  • Registered in MRI within one year of training.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of MRI principles and pulse sequences.
  • Ability to position patients and program imaging for high quality MRI.
  • Ability to recognize pathology and adjust scanning parameters.
  • Interact with nurses, physicians and radiologists.
  • MRI safety practices.
  • Quality control and quality assurance procedures.
  • Basic networking and PACs knowledge.
  • Excellent patient services for claustrophobic patients.
  • Adjust schedules to meet workload and staffing demands.
  • Venipuncture and contrast administration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI examinations across designated sites.
  • Position patients properly and optimize imaging parameters.
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort during exams.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinicians for accurate diagnoses.

Requirements
  • Must be willing to float; Nashville, Hendersonville, Clarksville, Murfreesboro, Smyrna
  • Completion of A.S., B.S. or certificate in Radiologic technology

  • Basic networking and PACs knowledge
  • Excellent patient services skills including working with claustrophobic patients
  • Dependable and capable of adjusting schedules to meet workload demands and staffing demands
  • Ability to properly perform venipuncture and contrast administration
