Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in MRI to perform imaging under the direction of a Radiologist, applying magnetic fields and prescribed beams to obtain diagnostic MRI quality images.

Responsibilities include independent judgment in a high-skilled imaging environment and taking ownership for designated MRI procedures while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification and active Florida CRT license.
• Graduate of ARMRIT certification program acceptable as alternative.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures with independent judgment and initiative.
• Utilize magnetic fields and prescribed beams for quality imaging.
• Move and operate imaging equipment in assigned radiology area as directed by Radiologist.

Job Summary

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation or prescribed radiofrequency beams for radiologic diagnosis and / or intervention and utilize magnetic fields to produce quality MRI imaging . Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Required Qualifications

• Require American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (R) certification and active State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
• OR
• Require graduate of an accredited American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) certification program.
