Job summary

Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER in Wichita, KS is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. You will prepare patients, position them for procedures, and perform MRI exams with attention to safety and quality.

You will document studies, support ongoing protocol updates, and use PACS to ensure accurate imaging. The role emphasizes adaptability across age groups and collaboration with the care team to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to adapt technique to age groups including newborns to geriatrics
• Positions and prepares patients for MRI procedures
• Performs MRI procedures and assesses patients throughout
• Completes documentation for each study
• Observes safety and aseptic practices to protect patients and staff
• Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols
• Uses professional judgment and critical thinking during procedures
• Participates in orientation and training of new staff and students

Responsibilities

• Adapt technique to age of population served and cultural needs.
• Position and prepare patients for MRI exams.
• Perform MRI procedures and assess patient condition during study.
• Complete accurate documentation for each study performed.
• Utilize PACS and ensure safety and aseptic technique.
