Job summary

McPherson Hospital, Inc. in Kansas is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to produce high quality images and collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, ARRT eligible, BLS, KS license, and willingness to learn multiprocedures (X-ray, CT). Hours are variable with on-site shifts. The position offers on-site work with opportunities to contribute to patient safety and imaging quality.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent formal training required.
• Minimal experience required; 2-3 years experience preferred.
• Multi-modality experience preferred, including X-Ray and CT.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures using proper positioning and protocols for optimal diagnostic value.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment; recognize malfunctions for patient and operator safety.
• Learn and work with HIS, RIS and PACS systems to ensure accurate patient records.
• Identify patients and collect medical history for consistent care.
• Apply MRI safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations.
• Prepare and administer contrast media per protocol to provide optimal diagnostic value.
• Other duties as required.
