Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions following accepted standards of practice and protocols.
• Complete and sign necessary forms and explain the procedure to the patient.
• Maintain patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the exam.
• Maintain technical competency through continued education.
• Administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
• Cooperate with facility healthcare personnel and comply with facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
• Provide images to the facility in the desired site format.
• Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems; call for service as needed.
• Assist with setup and teardown of equipment per SMS and manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Maintain a clean environment inside and outside the facility.
• Complete necessary administrative tasks.
• Follow quality assurance guidelines and patient confidentiality; comply with safety policies and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Performs MRI imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions following accepted standards of practice and protocols.
· Completes and signs necessary forms and explains the procedure to the patient.
· Maintains patient care, comfort, and safety during transport to and from the coach and the exam.
· Maintains technical competency through continued education.
· Administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
· Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures.

· Provide images to the facility in the desired site format.

EDUCATION
