Description

The MRI Technologist reports to and is evaluated by the Diagnostic Supervisor and the Director of Medical Imaging Services. Responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans for diagnosis, ensuring patient care, and operating MRI equipment under radiologist supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans for diagnosis of disease.
• Ensure proper and professional patient care in the Medical Imaging Department.
• Operate MRI equipment to produce images of designated body areas under radiologist supervision.
• Assist in diagnostic imaging as needed, maintaining confidentiality.
• Adhere to safety protocols, maintain current CPR, Maryland State License, and ARRT certification.
• Conduct studies on patients across all age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program.
• Certification by ARRT in Radiologic Technology and MRI or eligible.
• Licensed by the State of Maryland.
• CPR Certified (American Heart Association).
• One-year experience in MRI and Diagnostic Radiology preferred.

Pay Range

$37.18 – $55.77 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
