Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist PRN to join our radiology team. The role involves performing routine and specialized MRI imaging, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality studies for radiologists.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited radiology program certificate/degree, ARRT MR eligibility or certification, BCLS compliance within 30 days, and 2–3 years of MRI experience. This PRN opportunity supports our mission of providing excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification required or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and complete within 6 months.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2–3 years MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs and blood flow studies.
• Present images and patient history to Radiologist for diagnostic reporting.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organsystemsand blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.

What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionatelyassistand position patients.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will releasepatientswith properpost procedureinstructions.
• You will turn over and preparethe roomusingaseptictechnique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Whatqualificationsyouwillneed:

• Graduateofan accredited school or college withcertificateor degree in Radiology Technology.
• American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered.
• ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following.
• BCLSrequiredwithin30 daysof start date.
• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.
