Position Responsibilities:
We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused PRN MRI Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for explaining MRI procedures and performing MRI scans while ensuring patient comfort and generating high-quality diagnostic images. Responsibilities also include maintaining and reporting any issues with MRI equipment, reviewing reports for accuracy, and coordinating with ordering physicians by preparing CDs or copies of images as needed. You'll also assist X-ray technologists and providers with arthrogram injections and perform IV contrast injections when necessary to enhance imaging results. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with an associate's or bachelor's degree in radiography and ARRT (R) or equivalent certification, including ARMRIT. MR certification (through ARRT) and at least one year of MRI experience is preferred. A successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of customer service principles, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately. This PRN position requires flexibility to work at any of ORA's Imaging Center locations in Bettendorf, Davenport, Moline, or Silvis, as needed.
