Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, invites applications for an MRI Technologist (PRN) to perform routine and specialized MRI studies and to present images to the Radiologist for diagnostic reporting.

The role requires ARRT registration, MR eligibility or certification within 6 months, and BCLS within 30 days. Prior MRI experience is preferred, with patient care at the forefront of duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
• ARRT registered; MR certification preferred or registry eligible within 1 year and completed within 6 months.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.

• Compassionately assist and position patients.
• Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• Assess image quality and adjust as needed.
• Release patients with post-procedure instructions.
• Prepare and clean the room using aseptic technique between patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.

What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionately assist and position patients.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release patients with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
• American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered.
• ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.
