Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine and specialized MRI studies and to present images and history to the Radiologist for diagnostic reporting. This PRN opportunity involves compassionate patient care, image optimization, and adherence to safety protocols.

The role requires ARRT MR certification or registry eligibility within 6 months, ARRT radiology certification, and BCLS within 30 days of start date. MRI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
• ARRT registered or eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire; registry within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Compassionately assist and position patients.
• Start IVs for contrast when necessary.
• Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed.
• Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions.
• Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique; clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
