Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our imaging team on a PRN/per diem basis. You will provide high quality MR imaging services to patients under radiologist supervision, maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.

The role requires a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist with ARRT registry and BLS certification, along with 1–3 years of experience. You will participate in image optimization, patient preparation, and collaboration with

Qualifications

  • Requires 2 year/associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Active ARRT registry.
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of MRI equipment and obtain high quality MR images.
  • Set technical factors/contrast material to accommodate all patients.
  • Position patients ensuring modesty and safety.
  • Document clinical information pre-exam and obtain informed consent in MEDITECH.
  • Communicate with patients, radiologist and care team.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and restock supplies to prevent cross‑contamination.
  • Accept on‑call and call‑back responsibilities as needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

MRI Technologist - PRN/Per Diem

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. As an MRI Technologist under the direction of a radiologist:

  • You will demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation

  • You will facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material

  • You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated

  • You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time

  • You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist

  • You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies

  • You will accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications:

  • 2 year/Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology

  • Valid ARRT registry

  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Organizational, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, computer, clerical skills
