HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist PRN to join our imaging team in Inverness, FL. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, precise MRI services under radiologist supervision, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

Requirements include Florida licensure (CRT), ARRT MR/RT credentials, and BLS certification. You will collaborate with radiologists and support staff, participate in on‑call coverage, and uphold our patient‑focused care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• 1-3 years previous experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Clear/active State of Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, computer, clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of MRI and associated equipment; obtain high-quality MR images.
• Facilitate MRI procedures by selecting proper technical factors/techniques; prepare and administer contrast material as needed.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients; ensure modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information prior to exam; obtain informed consent; complete MEDITECH fields accurately and on time.
• Maintain communication with patient, radiologist and caregivers.
• Check equipment operation; maintain cleanliness; stock supplies; prevent cross-contamination.

MRI Technologist

We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. As an MRI Technologist under the direction of a radiologist, duties may include but not be limited to:

• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
• Facilitate MRI procedures by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care
