Job summary

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist for a PRN role. You will perform MRI procedures, ensure high-quality imaging, and manage contrast materials and patient positioning in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include accurate MEDITECH documentation, effective communication with radiology staff, and on-call availability. Minimum 1–3 years MRI experience and ARRT MR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year, AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid ARRT (MR) credential.
• Active Florida licensure (CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1–3 years MRI Technologist experience preferred.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.

• Perform MRI procedures with high-quality imaging.
• Select technical factors to accommodate patients and manage contrast material.
• Position and transfer patients ensuring modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information prior to exams and complete MEDITECH fields accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and care team.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and room readiness to prevent cross-contamination.
• Accept on-call and call-back duties as needed for patient care.

Ourimagingteams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to perform procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity. This is a PRN as-needed role. Day-shift/Night-shift/Weekend availability is necessary for consideration.

As an MRI Technologist at HCA Florida Englewood Hospital your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
• Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a 2-year, AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Valid ARRT (MR)
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 1-3 years of prior/current MRI Technologist experience
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
