Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an MRI Technologist PRN to join our radiology team in Independence, MO. You will perform routine and specialized MRI exams, prepare patients and communicate results to Radiologists for diagnostic reports.

We value compassionate care, strict safety practices, and timely patient service. The ideal candidate has ARRT registration, MR credential or eligibility within 6 months, and BCLS certification within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
• ARRT registered.
• ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.
• On Call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back.

Responsibilities

• You will compassionately assist and position patients.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release patients with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.
