Job summary

Parkridge East Hospital is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures and support daily MRI operations. The role emphasizes quality patient care and adherence to department standards in a busy diagnostic setting.

The MRI Technologist will work under the MRI Supervisor, handle scheduling within a PRN framework, and contribute to a team focused on safe, accurate imaging for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Technologist program
• ARRT-MR registration or registry eligible; must be registered within 6 months
• ARRT-R registration or registry eligible
• BLS within 30 days of start date
• One year experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist MRI Supervisor in daily department operations, balancing budget, equipment and staffing while ensuring quality care for adolescents, adults and geriatrics
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development; assess data reflecting patient age-specific needs
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care, upholding patient rights and dignity

Education

Job Summary And Qualifications

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. MRI Technologist are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.

What you will do in this role:

• You will assist the MRI Supervisor day-to-day operation of the department keeping in mind and balancing budgetary constraints, equipment and personnel needs, quality improvement and exceptional care for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.
• You will deliver compassionate, holistic care, while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Technologist program
• (ARRT-MR) Current registration or registry eligible. Must be registered within 6 month.
• (ARRT-R) Current registration or registry eligible
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• One-year experience preferred

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times. Visit us for excellent general and OB care!
