Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking an MRI Technologist for PRN/part-time coverage in Fort Myers and Cape Coral, FL. You will perform MRI procedures, ensure safety, manage imaging quality, and document results in the EHR.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in radiologic technology, Florida licensure, and ARRT RT(R) or equivalent certification with 6 months to 1 year of related experience. Flexibility for per diem shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in radiologic technology.
• Florida license and ARRT RT(MR) or exam within 1 year of start.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures across routine and moderately complex exams with appropriate sequences and parameters.
• Conducts thorough MRI safety screening for patients and staff before scanning.
• Evaluates image quality during acquisition and makes real-time adjustments.
• Administers MRI contrast agents per protocol and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Performs QA checks on MRI equipment and documents results per standards.
• Documents procedures in the EHR and communicates findings to the care team.
• Mentors entry-level technologists on MRI protocols and safety practices.

No weekends or major holidays! Covering offices in Fort Myers and Cape Coral, FL The MRI Technologist must hold all certifications and licenses related to their scope of practice. S/he must be able to handle a high volume, fast paced environment with a pleasant disposition. S/he must be responsible for maintaining all quality control records, ACR accreditation forms and daily logs for modality specific areas. S/he must be proficient in the use of computer software, ie: PACS, eRad, and Athena Clinicals and Communicator. S/he must obtain a detailed history on every exam performed in their specific modality for presentation to the Radiologist. S/he must be able to schedule all special procedures and biopsies daily as needed. S/he must follow all safety protocol to ensure safety of patients and equipment. All other duties as assigned.**How will you make an impact & Requirements****Key Responsibilities** • Performs MRI procedures across routine and moderately complex exam types, selecting appropriate sequences, coils, and parameters to meet diagnostic requirements. • Conducts thorough MRI safety screening for all patients and support personnel, identifying and resolving implant and device concerns prior to scanning. • Evaluates image quality during acquisition, making real-time adjustments to reduce artifact and ensure diagnostic adequacy before patient departure. • Administers MRI contrast agents in accordance with department protocols, monitoring patients for adverse reactions during and following injection. • Performs quality assurance checks on MRI equipment and documents results in compliance with ACR and organizational standards. • Documents procedures in the electronic health record and communicates clinically relevant findings to the care team promptly. • Provides guidance to entry-level technologists on standard MRI protocols and magnetic environment safety practices. **Education and/or Experience**Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or accredited radiologic school; six months to one year related experience and/or training (preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**Active State of Florida Radiologic Technology, BLS, National Registration RT(R), RT(MR) or exam pass within 1 year of start of employment. **Part Time/PRN Benefits:*** 401(k) with match* Other Employee Discount programs like cell phone discounts **Why Millennium?**Millennium Physician Group is one of the largest comprehensive primary care practices with healthcare providers throughout Florida.At Millennium Physician Group, you will find an organization that focuses on family and building a strong network of people to care for the communities we serve.
