Qualifications

• Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT – R, MR).
• Florida State License - General Radiographer required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

The role you’ll contribute:

The MRI technologist works under the supervision of the lead technologist, manager, director, and radiologist. Responsibilities include imaging neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnosis, and maintaining the hospital computer system. The technologist participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships, implementing the principles of AdventHealth Dade City/Zephyrhills.

• Performs all exams using AHDC/AHZ MRI protocols, ensuring proper patient identification and education.
• Completes exams efficiently, maintains workflow, and communicates effectively with patients and staff.
• Operates all MRI equipment safely, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, and adapts protocols for patients of all ages.
• Properly screens individuals entering the MRI facility for contraindications.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment and performs QA on magnets within ACR guidelines.
• Reviews all images, repeating sequences as necessary for optimal results.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT – R, MR)
