Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in the Dallas area is seeking an MRI Technologist to cover PRN shifts (days and evenings). The position performs routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging and assists with venipuncture and patient sedation as needed.

Requirements include graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program, current BLS, ARRT MR (or ARRT R with plan to obtain MR in 1 year), Texas certification, and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current ARRT (MR) certification.
• Texas Department of State Health certification.
• Work Experience: 1 year required.
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of completing orientation.

This is a PRN role for shift coverage days and evening shifts. The primary purpose of the MRI Technologist position is to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging. In addition, he/she performs venipuncture when indicated and assists the Radiologist and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.
