Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a MRI Technologist PRN to join our imaging team. You will perform MRI procedures in alignment with departmental protocols and under the supervision of the Chief MRI Tech and Imaging Manager.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and collaboration with other departments to ensure timely exams and high-quality imaging.

A strong team-focused mindset and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-MR or ARRT-R certification to perform MRI procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures as outlined by department protocols.
• Support the Chief MRI Tech, Imaging Manager and Medical Staff to improve patient flow and staff education.
• Maintain daily productivity and quality assurance standards.
• Prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff; ensure safety and patient comfort.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Tech works in conjunction with the Chief MRI Tech, Imaging Manager, Director and Medical Staff to improve the patient and work flow via providing support, education and leadership to the technical staff. Supports the mission and vision of the Medical Center of Arlington. Perform MRI procedures as outlined by the State of Texas and departmental protocols, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.

• Responsible for the customer needs of the MRI area of the Imaging Department.
• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment and policies - Hospital and Department - that are necessary for job performance, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.
• Collaborates with other department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives.
• Maintains and achieves daily productivity and quality assurance standards set by management.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform, the assigned duties.

What qualifications you will need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography
