Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency in Pittsburgh seeks an MRI Technologist to independently operate MRI equipment, prep patients, and analyze imaging data for diagnosis and research, ensuring proper identification and confidentiality.

You will apply imaging protocols, maintain ALARA safety, prepare medications as prescribed, document activities, and contribute to student and provider education while supporting interventional procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT MR or equivalent certification.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technology program; a related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, technical imaging principles, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, and confidentiality.
• Utilize imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles for safety.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, document activities, and evaluate image quality.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with MRI interventional procedures.
• Select appropriate pulse sequences, demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex tasks, and participate in quality improvement activities.
