Job summary

Qualifications

  • Requires AMA approved Radiologic Technology or MR Imaging program completion.
  • ARRT MR certification or ARMRIT MRI Technologist certification within 180 days.
  • BLS/Heart Association certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and MR technique.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and address patient needs during examinations.
  • Perform venipuncture, manage IV access, and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Select pulse sequences per protocols and data acquisition needs.
  • Evaluate MR images for quality and patient identification.
  • Adhere to MR safety guidelines and screen for MR access.
  • Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
  • Additional duties as assigned; perform competencies of the assigned unit.
