Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is actively seeking a PRN MRI Technologist at Bell Hospital to produce high-quality MR images while delivering exceptional patient care and upholding MR safety standards. This role supports multiple locations across the health system and emphasizes patient-centered service within radiology.

Responsibilities include patient prep, venipuncture, selecting pulse sequences per protocol, image quality evaluation, and education of students and staff.

Qualifications

  • ARRT MR certification or ARMRIT MRI Technologist certification required or within 180 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification on hire.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology and MR technique.
  • Prepare patients for MR procedures and assist during examinations.
  • Perform venipuncture and manage intravenous access.
  • Select pulse sequences per established protocols and patient factors.
  • Evaluate images for quality and proper patient identification.
  • Adhere to MR safety guidelines and screen individuals for MR access.
  • Apply MR safety principles to minimize risk to patients and staff.
  • Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
