Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality MRI imaging under physician supervision. You will administer contrast, review safety screening, and ensure accurate patient records and documentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and staff, explaining procedures to patients, and performing exams per protocol to support accurate interpretation. ARRT MR certification is required, with 1 year x-ray experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certification required.
• ARRT MR certification required.
• 1 year x-ray experience with cross training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality MRI imaging to patients under physician direction.
• Administer MRI contrast per protocol and review safety screening forms.
• Evaluate implants/devices via vendor resources and ensure safety zones.
• Maintain patient records, reports and departmental documentation.
• Explain procedures to patients and coordinate with care teams.
• Perform exams per protocol and ensure imaging accuracy before interpretation.
