Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging under physician supervision. You will administer MRI contrast, review safety forms, and verify implants using vendor resources.

Maintain patient records and deliver clear explanations to patients about procedures. The ideal candidate has ARRT MR and 1 year x-ray experience with a focus on safety and accuracy, working in Norfolk, VA.

Qualifications

• ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certification required.
• ARRT MR certification is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year x-ray experience for cross training.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams per protocol and maintain quality images.
• Administer MRI contrast as required and ensure safety compliance.
• Review patient safety screening and implants prior to scanning.
• Explain procedures to patients and document in records.
