Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an approved School of Radiographic Technology.
  • Computer experience.
  • Should be an experienced radiographer demonstrating knowledge to successfully complete MRI procedures and maintain additional education in cross sectional anatomy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide instructions to obtain desired results and minimize anxiety.
  • Operate MRI equipment and select protocols as prescribed by Radiologist.
  • Ensure patient safety and immobilize as needed.
  • Provide patient education about tests and procedures.
  • Record patient histories and document findings in the Notes section of Synapse.
  • Participate in department quality assessment and improvement programs.
