Compensation:
The estimated pay for this position is $59.3993. This reflects only a portion of the total compensation package for this position. Additional compensation may be available for this role through differentials, incentives, and bonuses.
Definition:
Under direction performs a variety of technical procedures which utilize Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for the diagnosis and treatment of disease and trauma.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images from patient’s bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Employment Standards:
High School Diploma, G.E.D . or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology. Approved by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
AND
Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist; certification as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health; and, certification by the State of California, Department of Health Services as a Certified Fluoroscopy permit.
A current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card. Appointees not possessing the BLS card must complete appropriate training for the card within 60 days of employment.
Employees must maintain all health requirements designated by Kern Medical.
Knowledge of:
MRI procedures, techniques and technology; methods, operation and care of equipment; specifications, standards and tolerances for the operation of MRI equipment and facilities; supplies and equipment ordering and inventory control.
Ability to:
operate MRI equipment; resolve customer complaints and concerns; communicate technical information to staff; safely manipulate patients; monitor and maintain quality control standards; work both independently and in a team environment.
