Job summary

Parrish Medical Center in Port St. John seeks an MRI Technologist to perform routine and emergent MRI scans while upholding high safety standards. The role reports to the DI Supervisor and operates in the Diagnostic Imaging department on Saturdays as per diem.

Responsibilities include patient education, prescreening, contrast administration, and ensuring accurate documentation and coding. The ideal candidate has ARRT certification, MRI registry eligibility within 1 year, and Florida DOH

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or other Two Year College equivalent required.
• Military training accepted.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides all aspects of Magnetic Resonance Imaging care based on established standards.
• Educates the patient prior to performing the procedure and ensures patient questions are answered.
• Prepares and verifies daily function of equipment necessary to perform daily procedures.
• Performs quality assurance and is responsible for knowing manufacturers safety recommendations for all equipment.
• Coordinates patient scheduling, patient care plans and other diagnostic procedures with nursing units and radiologists.
