Job summary

Carson Valley Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for per diem coverage. Under radiologist supervision, you will perform MRI procedures, review patient histories, and manage contrast administration while maintaining equipment and safety protocols.

The role requires ARRT (RT(R)) or ARMRIT certification and a current BLS certificate, with NV radiology licensure as applicable. Minimum two years’ experience on high-field magnet is preferred, and candidates should communicate professionally with

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology or MRI program.
• NV State radiology license if working in any other modality with ionizing radiation (DX, CT, IR, M).
• ARRT – American Registry Radiologic Technologist certificate required; RT (R)
• ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Technology
• Current BLS certification.
• MRI – Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification RT(R)(MR) or obtained within the first 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures.
• Review patient history and requisition with physician.
• Administer contrast material as directed by physician.
• Position patient and explain the procedure.
• Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment and supplies.
• Ensure safety around high field-strength magnet.
