Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or ARRT pathway.
  • ARRT MR credential or equivalent in good standing OR ARRT R.T.(N) or CNMT credentialing pathways.
  • ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) must be obtained within 12 months of hire/transfer.
  • BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and economical operation.
  • Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, informatics, and patient information.
  • Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its destination.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation and coordinate service if necessary.
  • Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive and all special procedures according to policy and orders.
  • Maintain adequate supplies in the work area for daily schedule.
  • Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment.
  • Aid other associates in the department upon completion of duties.
  • Attend and participate in monthly department meetings.
  • Provide training, supervision, mentoring and evaluation support for new hires, students and other learners.

Education

Graduated from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or ARRT pathway
ARRT MR (MR) eligibility or R.T.(R)/R.T.(S)/R.T.(T) in good standing
BLS certification by AHA or American Red Cross
Knowledge of Federal and State regulations
