Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited MRI program or ARRT-MR certification.
• Current MRI technologist certification and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferably in MRI.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Acquire high-quality images, review results, and verify patient identity and clinical history.
• Administer contrast media safely, following protocols to prevent complications.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure a clean, safe MRI environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians using patient-centered techniques.
• Participate in quality control, documentation, and departmental support activities.
• Assist with emergencies and provide patient education to reduce anxiety.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
