Stony Brook Southampton Hospital seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI imaging exams for patients of all ages, ensuring safety and optimal image quality. The role includes contrast injections, patient preparation, and presenting images to physicians for diagnosis.

The position requires ARRT/ NYSDOH licensure with MRI certification preferred, BLS, and ability to work across off-site locations, including weekend and holiday rotations.

Qualificações

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program
• ARRT/NYSDOH License required. MRI Certification preferred.
• BLS required.
• Certified to do contract injections.
• Specialized training in MRI Technology and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to sustain prolonged periods of sitting, walking, lifting, pulling and/or positioning and transferring patients.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate proficiency in performing MRI imaging exams for all ages and adhere to safety procedures.
• MRI Tech operates the MRI equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and ensures that enough information has been obtained to make a diagnosis, assist in the management of patients and present images to the physician for diagnosis.
• Intravenous therapy/contrast selection and injection.
• Prepare and enter written documentation as required by the department, such as informed consent.
• Float to off-sites as needed
• Rotating weekends and holidays required.
