Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist in North Carolina for a part-time role (24 hours per week). The position involves operating MRI scanners, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality imaging services with excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam and verifies identity using two patient identifiers.
• Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures and positions them appropriately.
• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision while engaging with patients.
• Adjusts MRI parameters and follows physicians' orders precisely.
• Maintains patient records in RIS and keeps work area clean and safe.
• Ensures equipment is cleaned, disinfected, and properly maintained; adheres to ACR standards.
• Assists with updating imaging protocols and software upgrades; monitors supplies.
• Supports training of new team members with technical expertise.
• Completes other tasks as assigned.
