BJC Outpatient Imaging – Winghaven seeks an MRI Technologist to join our outpatient team in O’Fallon, MO. This part-time role offers a three-day schedule (11:30 AM–8:00 PM) with full benefits and no on-call requirements.

Under Radiology Medical Director, you will perform routine and complex MRI procedures while ensuring patient care and a safe imaging environment. ARRT/ARMIT registration and state licensure are required or in progress.

Qualificações

• 2+ years experience as MRI Technologist preferred.
• Must have an Associates Degree in Radiology or graduate from an accredited two-year radiology program.
• ARRT in Radiography or ARMIT; MR advanced registry required at IDTF centers; MR advanced registry within 12 months for non-IDTF centers; state licensure required.

Responsabilidades

• Review orders, patient history and documentation.
• Prepare, position and monitor patients during MRI procedures.
• Perform MRI exams using established protocols and imaging parameters.
• Evaluate image quality and process images; maintain records.
• Perform venipuncture, maintain IV access, administer meds, and conduct point-of-care testing as directed.
• Follow MRI safety procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Complete QA activities and maintain exam rooms, equipment and supplies.
• Support team members and participate in training and performance improvement.

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI Technologist performs routine and complex MRI procedures while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a safe imaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review physician orders, patient history, and required documentation.
• Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout MRI procedures.
• Perform MRI exams using established protocols and appropriate imaging parameters.
• Evaluate image quality, process images, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform venipuncture, maintain IV access, administer prescribed medications, and conduct point-of-care creatinine testing as directed.
• Follow MRI safety procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Complete quality assurance activities and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Support team members, assist with training, and participate in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Prefer 2+ years experience as a MRI Technologist

EDUCATION:

• Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT. MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT is required upon hire for IDTF centers. Non-IDTF centers require MR advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
• Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
