Fort Jesse Imaging Center in Normal, IL, is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team on a part-time flex schedule (20–25 hours per week). The role includes MRI procedures, patient positioning, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

The position requires up to 5 years of MRI technologist experience, an Associates degree in Radiology, ARRT/ARMIT registration with MR advanced registry within 12 months for IDTF centers, and

Qualifications

• Up to 5 years experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Associates degree in Radiology or two-year radiology program.
• ARRT/ARMIT registration required; MR advanced registry within 12 months for IDTF centers.
• Must meet state licensure requirements where practicing.
• Ability to operate MRI equipment and monitor patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures according to established protocols.
• Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout procedures.
• Review physician orders and patient medical history.
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access as needed.
• Administer contrast and medications according to established guidelines.
• Follow all MRI safety procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Perform point-of-care creatinine testing as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam rooms.
• Assist other areas of the imaging center as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Fort Jesse Imaging Center is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team in Normal, IL.

Schedule:

• Part-Time Flex | 20–25 hours per week
• Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Every other Saturday: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Some schedule flexibility may be available upon hire

Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures while providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care. This position works closely with radiologists, providers, and other team members to ensure an excellent patient experience.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Up to 5 years experience as a MRI Technologist

EDUCATION:

• Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT. MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT is required upon hire for IDTF centers. Non-IDTF centers require MR advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
• Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
