Job summary

Cardinal Points Imaging is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the team in an outpatient setting. The role involves performing MRI procedures, ensuring high-quality images, and delivering safe patient care.

Responsibilities include teamwork with radiology staff, communicating with patients and providers, and adhering to guidelines. Schedule features include 12-hour shifts across Clayton, Raleigh, and Wake Forest locations; full-time status with flexible days.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• Must be certified by ARRT in Radiography with current registration.
• Must obtain advanced registration in MRI through ARRT or within 12 months of employment.
• Must meet applicable state licensure requirements for the state of practice.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI Technologist will:

• Perform routine to complex MRI procedures and produce quality images for interpretation by a licensed provider.
• Provide safe, high-quality patient care while following established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the imaging center team to provide a positive experience for our patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members.

EXPERIENCE:

• Up to 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.

EDUCATION:

• Must have a minimum associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current, valid ARRT registration.
• Must hold an advanced registration in MRI through ARRT or obtain it within the first 12 months of employment.
• Must meet applicable state licensure requirements for the state in which they practice.
• BLS certification is required within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
• Skill in operating MRI equipment and applicable ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide accurate and concise documentation.
• Understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
