Job summary

Fort Jesse Imaging Center seeks a PRN MRI Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team in Normal, IL. The role involves performing MRI exams, ensuring safety, and delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, acquiring quality images, starting IVs, and collaborating with staff while upholding MRI safety standards. Prior registration and state licensure are required; shift options include Saturdays with coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Radiology or completion of an accredited two-year radiology program.
  • Current ARRT (Radiography) or ARMRIT registration.
  • MRI advanced registry required upon hire for IDTF centers or within 12 months of employment for non-IDTF centers.
  • Must meet applicable state licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and advanced MRI exams following established protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout their exams.
  • Review physician orders and patient history to ensure appropriate imaging.
  • Start IVs and administer contrast or medications as appropriate.
  • Ensure MRI images meet quality standards for interpretation.
  • Follow all MRI safety procedures and screening requirements.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Educate patients about procedures and answer questions.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
  • Assist with quality assurance activities and equipment/supply readiness.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and prepared exam rooms.
  • Work collaboratively with other technologists and imaging center staff.
  • Assist in other areas of the imaging center as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Fort Jesse Imaging Center is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our patient-focused team in Normal, IL!

Position Status: PRN
Schedule: As needed for staffing coverage
Shift Opportunities: Saturdays, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with occasional weekday evening shifts
Location: Fort Jesse Imaging Center – Normal, IL

Job Summary
