Job summary

Sentara Hospitals is hiring an MRI Technologist for a part-time weekend evening shift at the Advanced Imaging Center in Suffolk, VA. The role requires an MRI certificate and CNMT/ARDMS/ARRT/ARMRIT licensure with ARRT MR advanced within 2 years of hire. A 15K sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 3p to 11:30p. Sentara offers comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Trade School Graduate in Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Completion of MRI school/certificate program (Preferred).
• Certification/licensure CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT (Required). Must obtain ARRT MR advanced or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire. BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality MRI imaging to patients under supervision per protocol.
• Administer MRI contrast per protocol and review safety screening.
• Maintain and document patient records and exam results.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure accurate imaging for interpretation.

Overview: Sentara Advanced Imaging Center at Sentara BelleHarbour, in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring an MRI Technologist for a Part Time Weekend Evening Shift.

Hours Saturday and Sunday: 3p - 11:30p

Overview Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patient records, reports, and files. Performs patient MRI exam per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation. examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Education Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required) Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program (Preferred)

Experience One (1) year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound (Preferred) Six (6) months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program (Preferred)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.24 - $61.82 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

The Advanced Imaging Center at BelleHarbour is conveniently located on the campus of Sentara BelleHarbour in Western Tidewater. The center is home to a 3T MRI, CT, PET CT, full digital mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry, PVL (vascular imaging services), non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing, and digital X‑ray. Physicians and patients also benefit from the expertise of our sub‑specialized radiologists who ensure accurate results from the high quality images. Our sub-specialties include women's imaging, musculoskeletal (MSK), body and neuroradiology.
