Position Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic MRI procedures, ensuring quality control, and maintaining equipment and patient safety. Key requirements include:

• Knowledge of MRI procedures, positioning, and technical factors.
• Proficiency in RIS for scheduling and tracking exams.
• Ability to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology School.
• Experience in outpatient MRI preferred.

Licensing and Certification

• Within 6 months of hire, must obtain ARRT (MR) certification or ARMRIT.
• Current CPR certification or obtain during orientation.

Preferred certifications include MRT from Texas Department of Health and ARRT or MRI registration within 60 months of employment.
