Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for performing diagnostic MRI procedures and ensuring quality control.

• Knowledge of MRI procedures, positioning, preparation, and technical factors.
• Proper use of RIS for scheduling, tracking, and completing exams.
• Operation of MRI equipment and related devices.
• Enthusiasm and ability to assess situations and consider alternatives.
• Ability to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Graduate of a Radiology School.
• Experience in outpatient MRI preferred.

Minimum Licenses and Certifications:

• Within 6 months of hire: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• Current CPR certification or obtain during orientation.

Preferred: MRT Certification from Texas Department of Health, ARRT or MRI certification within 60 months.
