Qualifications

• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required or eligible.
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations, including those with anxiety or mobility limitations.
• Outpatient imaging experience preferred and familiarity with MRI QC and routine checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to perform routine and specialized outpatient MRI examinations.
• Verify ordered scans and confirm coverage and image quality.
• Greet patients, explain the exam, and help them feel comfortable throughout the scan.
• Position, immobilize, and prepare patients for optimal imaging results.
• Administer MRI contrast agents per physician orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Recognize and troubleshoot image artifacts and adjust techniques for diagnostic-quality images.
• Upload scans and document procedures and patient information in the EMR system.
• Follow MRI safety policies, screen patients for contraindications, and respond to emergencies with BLS.

Overview:

Our outpatient imaging team in San Antonio is seeking an MRI Technologist to deliver high-quality scans and a reassuring patient experience. New grads and experienced MRI Technologists alike are welcome to apply.

Position Offers:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Competitive pay: $35-45 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to perform routine and specialized outpatient MRI examinations
• Verify ordered scans and confirm appropriate coverage and image quality
• Greet patients, explain the exam, and help them feel comfortable throughout the scan
• Position, immobilize, and prepare patients accurately for optimal imaging results
• Administer MRI contrast agents per physician orders and protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions
• Recognize and troubleshoot image artifacts, adjusting techniques to ensure diagnostic-quality images
• Upload scans and document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Follow MRI safety policies, screen patients for contraindications, and respond to patient emergencies with basic life support (BLS)

Qualifications:

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Comfort working with a diverse patient population, including patients with anxiety or mobility limitations
• Outpatient imaging experience, and familiarity with MRI quality control and routine equipment checks, preferred
• Experience collaborating with radiologists and referring providers preferred
