SolutionHealth in Manchester, New Hampshire is seeking an MRI technologist to perform magnetic resonance procedures and produce diagnostic-quality images.

The role requires completion of an approved MRI education program with ARRT registry eligibility, ARRT radiology certification or equivalent, and BLS. The department values safety, quality, and cross-team collaboration within a modern imaging suite.

Qualifications

• Clinical experience in Diagnostic Imaging Modality or completion of an approved MRI education program with registry eligible.
• ARRT certification in Radiology, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine and/or applicable state licensure.
• Board licensure in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy as required.
• MRI Registry with ARRT within 36 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures following ACR Practice Parameters and ARRT Standards.
• Position patients and select coils, following department protocol book.
• Participate in quality control and QA using the APIE model.
• Maintain knowledge of MRI equipment, EPIC and PACS systems.
• Prepare and/or administer contrast media per Radiology Contrast Policy.
• Recognize emergencies and initiate code procedures; provide basic life support as needed.
• Record patient symptom history on requisition.

About the Job:

The practice of magnetic resonance is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the use of radiofrequencies (RFs) within a magnetic field on humans for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A magnetic resonance technologist performs magnetic resonance procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. It is the magnetic resonance technologist who performs the magnetic resonance examination that creates the images needed for diagnosis.

What You'll Do:

• Performs magnetic resonance procedures based on the American College of Radiology (ACR) "Practice Parameters and Technical Standards" and the ARRT "Standards of Ethics"
• Understands and adheres to the preparation, positioning, coil selection and exam sequences according to the Department Protocol book
• Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the "APIE" model
• Maintains knowledge of all MRI equipment, computers, EPIC and PACS.
• Prepares and/or administers contract media in accordance with the Radiology Contrast Policy
• Recognizes emergency situations, initiates code procedures, administers first aid/CPR, as needed and in accordance with specific MRI Safety guidelines
• Records patient symptom history on requisition

Who You Are:

• Clinical experience in Diagnostic Imaging Modality, Required OR Completion of an approved MRI education program with registry eligible
• Required Certification by the ARRT in Radiology, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine and/or have appropriate state licensure
• Required Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure
• Required MRI Registry with ARRT required within thirty-six (36) months of employment required
• Ability to obtain BLS during employment
